Nicci Morrish FlyerCome join us again in the mountains west of Boulder at Nederland’s, Salto Coffee Works – Friday, June 6th, 6 – 9 PM.

In addition to perfectly roasted coffee, Salto serves local beer and wine. The food is fantastic – they roast their own meats, craft their own dressings and source the highest quality (local when possible) ingredients. Try the Re-Boot sandwich!

We will be playing for the art opening of painter Nicole (Nicci) Morrish.

Come join us in the mountains west of Boulder at Nederland’s newest establishment, Salto Coffee Works – Friday, March 7th, 6 – 9 PM.

Salto  serves beer, wine, soup, salads and sandwiches in a warm, new ski lodge like atmosphere.

We will be playing for the art opening of painter Jessica Ansari –

Jessica Ansari was born and raised in a small seaside town in Northern England, but now lives and loves the high altitude life in Nederland, Colorado. Her preferred medium is acrylic paints on canvas, but she also works as a graphic designer in the digital field. Ansari completed a BFA with distinctions in Art & English at CU Boulder in 2008, before training in graphic design.

Here are some pictures from our last show at The Berkeley Inn where the beer is cold and the crowd is warm and lively. We appreciate all of our friends who came to support us – a special thanks to Ron Feldman for taking these photos.

Here are some photos from our house concert in July.

VitaPlaying Vita over a period of a year shaped our music in a way I had not expected. During breaks and set-up we heard the hypnotic repetition of European electro-jazz over the house sound system. We started introducing these ideas into some of our jazz standards.

Rembrandt Yard

We really like to play at opening receptions for artists because everyone arrives with an open state of mind.  When we played at the Boulder International Film Festival reception for independent filmmakers it was a thrill to be surrounded by the visual art of Rembrandt Yard.  As artists and sponsors mixed we served up our own style of cinematic jazz including a old favorite, In Walked Bud, in reference to bebop pianist Bud Powell.

Last night we played for the St. Anne’s Episcopal School faculty nestled between the books in the library. This is the fourth year we’ve performed at this event – we always look forward to the warm and festive mood at this historic and beautiful campus.
